If I'm not mistaken, this was first released very recently- around a week ago.

I'll check It out on my return from work today.
Thank you.

I see.

I've just had a look at the version history for FF, and the first version Is dated on the 7th of this month. Perhaps It was released earlier for other browsers.

I think Adguard* also blocks miners and pops-up a notification when a website is trying to mine with your cpu . But this plug-in is much easier as for Adguard you need to tweak a little bit on the settings . Thanks for the share .

This is making me curious, are websites writing javascript miners that run when you visit their pages now?

I have only seen one website use it, and that was some gay ass forums that said @Mr.Kurd's little just for fun forums was vulnerable and theirs wasn't. They added to their policy that they will mine when you visit, and they are also paying $200 a month for the VPS that is hosting it when there's only like 10-20 members on it.

I think that's despicable.... You're just hogging peoples' bandwidth and bogging down their CPUs for nothing, since most peoples' computers aren't powerful enough to mine ANYTHING, and JS isn't useful enough to mine even on a beefy computer.

You could also use something like https://github.com/hans-strudle/CoinJack to send what coins you earned to your own wallet, but yeah I have actually noticed some less than creditable sites suddenly bogging my lappy down while I am there, so blocking as much crap as I can helps.

RE: No Coin Firefox Plugin - Altair - 11-14-2017

I'm using Ublock and it also blocks well
