Nice contribution.
Judging by personal experience, Microsoft DaRT does a great job with the repair process, and also resetting local user account passwords. Although they're not publicly-available, I have every release for all Windows versions & editions In bootable ISO formats.

Impressive share! No doubt that this will help anyone in need of it or in the future. In my experiences I havn't used any of these live boot CD's, but they should work one hundred percent.

Well spotted.
Although It still serves It's purpose very well, It hasn't been updated In years. I'd like to see a new release, but I'd say It's wishful thinking.

Very good list, this will be usefull in the future. I was thinking about creating some recovery CD/DVD's anyway. Hirens is personally what I always have used. Especially the "mini windows XP" has saved me more times then I can count.
