Thoughts on Star Citizen - --null-- - 11-03-2017 Im sure most of you have heard of Star Citizen, a First Person space sim thing. I just want to hear your guys' takes on it. RE: Thoughts on Star Citizen - Drako - 11-03-2017 I never have really liked games of this sort very much, and intern I don't know a lot about them. Though I did check out the games website and I have to be honest, $45 is a hell of a lot for this kind of game from what I can tell. RE: Thoughts on Star Citizen - Oni - 11-03-2017 As someone that's played Eve Online for years (and other MMOs alike), I'm excited but also skeptical. It seems like a very ambitious project and only a fraction of the game is there. Only time will tell. Yeah I've started playing eve online this summer, and I saw Star Citizen as a sort of expansion on it. But, what I enjoyed most about eve was the large scale battles and politics, and Star Citizen just doesn't seem like it can handle that. RE: Thoughts on Star Citizen - Saikou - 11-04-2017 sounds like a waste of millions of dollars, and/or another flop like no man's sky RE: Thoughts on Star Citizen - BurritoBeans - 11-04-2017 I've been following it mind you not that much since I'm a fan of games like Elite - while Star Citizen does look nice, I'm not willing to pay the price for the game, a decent ship, and the better in-game currencies as it seems like a complete waste of money to me. If the game had a larger playable area, larger playerbase, etc. then maybe I'd be interested but for now it still seems like the more niche game for people with money in the whole "Space Simulator" genre. RE: Thoughts on Star Citizen - Ecks - 11-04-2017 I have watched the progress over the years, I have seen it the game really rise from nothing but yeah it is no where near what they are promising and fuck paying for the alpha access, if and when they ever do release it, yeah I would like to give it a try, I wouldn't mind if they just end up being an EVE clone, but I do hope it comes out as promised, if for the only fact that it will blow every damn game out of the water for years to come. |
