Prime Video recommendations - Inori - 10-17-2017

I've had Amazon Prime for a while now and I've yet to actually use the streaming service. If anyone here frequents it, do you have any recommendations? I've heard good things about The Grand Tour (Jeremy Clarkson's new show) from car-nut friends, but that's about it.

I was literally about to suggest you watch Grand Tour, before I had even read the full post. Really though you should. It's so much more than just a car show. Even myself, who is a car nut doesn't watch it for the car stuff, it's basically the best of comedy you can get from people who are trying to be totally serious and talk about something that bores most of the world. Guaranteed you will laugh for days man.

Well of course "The Stig" is going to recommend the Grand Tour LOL, I don't have the service but, I have checked out some of what it has and can say, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, The Originals and Dr. Who.

Interesting fact, "The Stig" has been replaced by "The American" in the grand tour, who not only isn't a mystery but can never shut up.

Damn, I loved "The Stig" and all his "cousins", but I guess they can't use it due to trademarks.

The American is pretty cool. He takes a sort of clarkson point of view, except that his catchphrase is "basically communist", and he thinks "murican made v8's are the best"

As an American I have to sort of agree, we used to make the best damn engines in the world, but sadly the pinnacle of our v8's as of late, is the damn Ford Voodoo, it's a beautiful engine, but damn I just hate Ford with such a passion, it ruins anything "good" they produce.

RE: Prime Video recommendations - Blink - 10-18-2017

I've used it a little bit, but the selection is quite limited in comparison to Netflix, and (not totally legal) sites like GoSteam (formerly GoMovies and 123Movies). As a result of this, I don't use it often.

You get what you pay for. $8/mo and you get a shitty selection with things that aren't ever up to date. $50/yr and you get a tiny selection but good exclusives and same day delivery.

The Prime shipping is the best part of the whole service. It's also the only part that I really use. Prime restaurants seems cool too, but I haven't used it yet.
