I would just assume it's the search engines the site uses in the search bar (to help power it). But I don't really know!

But even yesterday it said Google was online and it had Google online but it wasn't click-able so I thought it was a bug! It wasn't just the way you said it don't worry =P

Those are just the Search Engines which help sites to rank up if I remember right though.
