Who still owns a PSOne? - miqrojamie - 08-07-2017

Who here owns a PSOne/PSX?

I have one right here in my bedroom - a PAL SCPH-102 PSOne model. I have around 25 games for it, although I only play a few of them Smile
Here's a picture:

My goodness, mine Is a carbon copy of yours. It's stashed somewhere In my cupboard.

I had to purchase the screen separately. It simply attaches to the rear with ease, and was very handy when a TV was not accessible to play.

EDIT: Dug It out of my cupboard. Almost the same as yours:

I own the PSX. Not the PSOne. Bigger is better.

Might have to go dig mine out of storage, I miss playing Gran Turismo for hours and hours

I've got a PSOne somewhere at home, maybe I'll dig around and look but I have no clue where - I don't really play PS1 all that much so the systems never get to sit on my main shelves for consoles, and even then when I do I usually get the modded -1000 because S-Video right out of the console is nice and the parallel port means I can use my PSIO and just use SD cards instead of discs.

While I do like my bigger PS1s a bit more, that's not always true when it comes to PS1 - If you have an SCPH-100x model (One with the Composite/S-Video jacks on the back unless somehow you got a -5903) then one very common issue is a flaky disc drive due to a cheaper plastic assembly and rail that likes to break or cause the laser to slip, mind you it can be fixed with a bit of work, alongside general FMV skipping issues.

Mine's somewhere lost in my house - I held on to it for a while after GameStop wouldn't buy it from me anymore and just decided to keep it as a (soon to be) retro system.

I used to have one, though it's at someones house somewhere. Didn't play it a lot though...
