Dark anime recommendations - Shinoa - 08-03-2017
My favorite type of anime are probably dark anime and thrillers. Things along the lines of Death Parade, Death Note, Future Diaries, etc.
I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for anime of the sort

I can't remember exactly, but I think I may have seen Higurashi a while back. Don't wanna spoil it, but it was very very shocking. Either way I'll make sure to give them all a look. Thanks :.

Having just recently binge watched it, I can say that's a great recommendation!
I've seen things like Corpse Party: Tortured Souls, which is more gorey than anything. When you say dark, do you mean stuff that's a little more thought provoking? I tend to like that sort of thing, but find it hard to identify a genre. I often find those shows listed under other genre's like Fantasy etc.

Death Parade was one of my favorites and got me with the feels. I think Berserk and Ghost Hunt might be "dark".

Either gory and horror anime such as Another, or psychological, thriller, and/or thought provoking anime like Zankyou no Terror, Subete Ga F, and Deadman Wonderland, which also tend to fall under the fantasy/sci-fi category.
I tend to prefer the latter, but can enjoy both.

Ghost Hunt has been in my plan to watch list for a while now. I'll probably watch it some time soon. Thanks for the recommendations

I'll make sure to take a look at Tasogare Otome x Amnesia. I've heard many good things about it.
