There's a builtin Git GUI - Inori - 07-31-2017
Attempting to find a good (third party) GUI client for git, I stumbled across a thread on some long-dead forum and discovered that there's a builtin GUI client for Git written in Tk!
It's not the most beautiful thing in the world, but it's certainly functional and does the job. To use it, install Tk on your system if you don't have it already, then run "gitk" in a repository.

To be honest, I think it shouldn't be included by default. Most people don't use it, and it should be an optional add-on or something.
It is nice that they have an official GUI, but it should be split from the main git project.

Tcl/tk scripts are tiny compared to compiled Qt/GTK UIs (gitk is 343 kb), and the framework itself is listed as an optional dependency, so I don't think it's too big a load.

It might be annoying on low power devices such as the original Raspberry Pi model A...
