I find it horrible to kill off any future franchises dreams of bringing these two back together for some bloody good combat(the plots never work in the moves, everyone knows we watch for the violence). If you would like to read more you can click here.

While the AvP spinoff line is a good bit of fun - I'll agree to that - as there's solid comics, games, etc. within it, I can't say that about the movies...
The AvP movies all just kind-of sucked. If you just came in wanting action I guess you've got a 60% chance of liking it, but if you want more? Nah, you're in the wrong movie. I loved the first few Alien movies as they're in a very solid sci-fi universe with well-done characters, well-written plots, a good element of suspense, they keep moving/don't just dull out after the intro, and just generally being classics in the film industry. The AvP movies are pretty much the opposite of that - I'd even say Alien^3 and Alien Resurrection are better than the movies were. You've got a shit plot, cardboard cutouts of what used to be decent characters, and lots of generic action - there's no real draw to it in my eyes unless you just wanted said generic action.
So, eh, I can't say I'm mad - goodbye AvP movies, I won't really miss you just like how I don't miss a lot of the horror series that got a billion sequels, each just trying to bring up the shock factor while losing everything else so that people would watch them.
