Thread bumping rules: - Blink - 04-26-2017 There needs to be rules for this: Spoiler: bumping(04-13-2017, 06:58 AM)KINDREDSHOP Wrote: Kindred Shop It’s time to buy... There needs to be specific rules on how often you can bump threads. I think that threads should be allowed to be bumped at most every 72 hours or so, but that's just my opinion. RE: Thread bumping rules: - Inori - 04-26-2017 It's not in the rules (which are in dire need of an update) officially, but bumps and gravedigging are generally frowned upon unless there's new information that's directly relevant to the OP. If you need to think for more than 10 seconds about if you should bump a thread, you probably shouldn't. Bumps were never frowned apon weren't they? Bumping has been a thing for over 5+ years. As I said, it's fine as long as it's relevant. If it's someone like OP's example that's repeatedly bumping a sales thread that nobody's interested in, it's more spam than anything else. Yeah I knew what you mean't was speaking in general because I was unaware. I agree, I've always felt 48 hours was more then enough to get sales, let the thread die then rebump. RE: Thread bumping rules: - mothered - 04-26-2017 I totally agree with this. The norm on most forums I've registered with, Is 24 hours. That said, In my views I believe that's a little too frequent. Not everyone logs on every day. Nice suggestion, I've cast my vote. RE: Thread bumping rules: - pvnk - 04-26-2017 I think 24 hours is fair. I agree, I mentioned it on Kindreds thread. 24 hours has always been fine from my point of view. RE: Thread bumping rules: - Skullmeat - 04-27-2017 Bumping is ok if you have something new to add, but the kind of thing that @Ender linked is considered spam/shitposting, and will be removed. |
