Suggestion to prevent Leeching - SxTxN - 03-12-2017

This is a suggestion that you must consider, because it just needs to happen.

Less leeching, more activity right? Less leeching, the better? Am I right?

To prevent leeching, please consider using the hide tags.
This will force the user to reply to a thread before viewing the hidden content(the goodies).

So I'm begging you to implement this as soon as possible, it's just something that needs to happen, and it needs to happen now.

Peace

Pretty much this. Requiring a response to see the thread will just increase shitposting, which will in turn significantly increase mod's workload. Been there/done that.

Can you lock thread content based on the number of a users posts? SL is already locking entire sections of the forum based on post count. Why not have the option to lock content the same way?

An argument for this would be that it would increase "shit posting" for users just wanting to leech.

Could find a way to handle that too though.

Maybe go through the rep system?
Or create one based on the number of a users "liked" posts.

But then they would make fake accounts to like their own posts... Hmm

Either way the effort required to leech would go up significantly.

That's a fair enough point bro

We prefer quality over quantity regarding posts. As @typhoid said, "I hope this works" isn't very constructive or helpful.

The discussion we have at the moment is minimal, this will just make it non existent.

This ^^^

Although activity may Increase, so too will the amount of LQ posts.
Quality over quantity Is certainly best for any board.
