Merge "New Posts" and "Today's Posts" - Blink - 01-22-2017

I'm talking about the sections that you get from clicking on your avatar in the top left corner.

They are nearly the exact same thing.

Maybe replace one with "Today's Threads" or "New Threads"

At first glance they may seem similar to each other, but the amount of content Is different.

The "New Posts" Is limited to the first 16 recent posts and keeps updating In chronological order as new posts come to hand. The "Today's Posts" spans over a 24 hour window (hence "Today"). Essentially (for example), If there's 200 posts generated In a given day (In separate threads), the "Today's Posts" will contain far greater content than the New Posts.

I suggested this before, but they won't have it.

It's still very similar, there could just be a "max posts" filter.

I myself use new post quite frequently, it tends to show the post within a short time span (16 post as mentioned) that way if I post on those threads, I'm bound to get some conversation/discussion backwards and forth.

Yes I do agree.

Content-wise, It's similar. In terms of the "amount" of posts, there can be a significant difference (as I've mentioned above).

For stuff like that, I just stay on the first page of Today's posts, as each page only has a certain amount of posts.

This is not necessary for me. I usually don't use the "New Post" option, I always use the daily one. If I need to find something I'll just sift through the forum, I don't mind.

They're both similar in function, but different. No point and I use both.
