Unlimited Internet for only $15/month plan? - Dr. Keter - 12-19-2016
A few months ago, I was visiting a family friend's house. His internet setup was interestingly peculiar. He was tethering from an old android smartphone. It couldn't serve very well due to being low-spec'd, but it worked. The interesting part is that he said the SIM card was modified by a hacker. He says that the hacker gave it a flip-phone serial number, and that the carrier doesn't monitor flip-phone data usage because those little things aren't capable of using up much data. So, he basically gets unlimited internet for the cost of a very cheap data plan. Sadly, he couldn't get in touch with the hacker so I couldn't ask him directly.
What do you guys think of this?

Irrespective of the device Itself, data Is still being used via the carrier and will be monitored to some degree.
Going by what you've described, It's as though the carrier has no clue that the connection Is In existence.
That's simply not possible.

Well, I mean he still was tethering his internet from his phone and using a large amount of data to do so. I think the data monitor said like 50 GB.
