Raspberry PI's - Bish0pQ - 12-18-2016 Hi everyone, So I recently aquired 2 raspberry PI's and I was wandering if someone had a nice idea to try out or something with them. I'm currently only using 1 as a private HTTP server but the other one isn't used. I was first thinking about creating something like a "smart home" or whatever they call it. Automatic lights on, automatic boot up when I get home etc... If you have an interesting idea, post below and I might check it out. It even uses the clock pin on the GPIO, so you can tune it to any frequency you wish. Other than that I've used mine as a miniconsole for emulators, or as a set top box with kodi. My next idea is turn it into a car entertainment system, complete with gps and touch screen. RE: Raspberry PI's - Pikami - 12-18-2016 I use my as a home media center/torrent box. RE: Raspberry PI's - Nil - 12-18-2016 A strobe light type thing that oscillates to the frequencies of any song you play through it. Pretty coold, wouldn't that be something more for an Arduino though? I mean I have seen this before and people usually use an Arduino for this. That sounds pretty interesting, I'm using the other PI as media center/file server already but I might try the FM transmitter you mentioned. I wanted to code something before that would search all FM frequencies and if it would be static, it would discard the connection and move on, if it would be a working connection it would save the frequencie so I can monitor what frequencies are being sent out in my area. RE: Raspberry PI's - Esoterith - 12-19-2016 "Play minecraft" - Youtube community [Bad Joke] Try running anything BUT rasbian RE: Raspberry PI's - Bish0pQ - 12-19-2016 (12-19-2016, 02:10 PM)Mystique Wrote: "Play minecraft" - Youtube community [Bad Joke] Of course, I didn't buy 2 devices to just run Raspian. I'm a debian fan more anyway.
