Gaming Channel Help. - ABlackFedora - 04-02-2013

I don't know if this is the section to post it in, but whatever.

I run a gaming channel on my own right now, and I post some videos daily. What amazes me is that although my videos are high quality, 1080p, at least some entertaining content, I have yet to actually have a good fanbase that cares about what I put. It seems my only views I get are the ones when I advertise, which shouldn't happen.

If you guys have any sort of tips, criticism, go ahead and tell me.

I'd just like to know what I could do to get my fan base up. I am sponsored by Zoomin.TV Games, and what not. I'd just like to know what I have to do get that solid fanbase.

Moved to the general gaming section.

Now about your channel I would suggest switching back to the old layout as it looks much nicer. Also you need to colab with other Youtubers who do what you do. It just takes time, not like one will blow up over night.

The channels are going to be force-switched to my layout within the month.

Hey ABF, I'd say sign up to a load of forums, possibly gaming specific, and do a few posts a day and then advertise with a thread. Do replies to the big gaming channels on YT like Yogscast. It would help if the person you are replying to did the same type of games so if you play Minecraft, Yogscast would be good. Or Fifa you could reply on PS3Gaming's videos. Going further afield social networking sites. Not the Facebooks and twitters but the smaller ones where you can just spam your channel in comments and such. Going back to Facebook and Twitter, on Facebook you can like the big gamers pages and then comment on their page with your channel or videos with a facebook account dedicated to your channel. And with Twitter you can tag in or whatever you do on twitter the big YT gamers in tweets about your gaming channel like a new video. Get your friends to like your stuff and if you have a bit of spare cash you could buy some followers and subs on facebook and twitter and then pay for promoted posts and tweets. Last thing I can think of at the moment is get some bloody decent graphics. Get a nice colour scheme and have someone make you a Intro video/page, a nice banner thingy and avatar.

and get in TC Biggrin

I appreciate the advise, and I am going to use it at one point, but if anything i'd need a good youtube banner.
