Debates within threads? - Zaiken - 06-12-2016

So i've recently had 2 debates with inton in two threads whilst in my opinion still talking about/ debating about what the thread is about.
For some reason people complain about this. Is it wrong having a debate within a thread if its about the thread topic?

That is because people these days come on forums for spam and free content. They lack an opinion for themselves and the ability to talk without arguing.

Yeah, because you're the one guy that says disagrees to something when everyone else agrees.
*o noes another "debate"!!!!*

If it's about the thread topic I think it's fine.
If it's "Intrusive" it should just be sorted or dealt with in PM's.

I'm not quite certain I have said; "disagrees" to start a debate before. Could be an interesting approach.

That I can agree with. But its funny, because I've gotten insults or comments because I debated the topic at hand.

This literally says don't post your opinion unless it agrees with everyone else, sadly the world doesn't work like that.

Fun fact. One of the things the majority of my teachers said they liked me for was that no matter the case or the risk. I would voice my opinion, and view matters in a more abstract way than the rest of the class. I don't like to follow the herd mindlessly as people do these days. It's boring and un-interesting. Hence my interest in the views of others that are abstract.

As long as the debate doesn't turn into a fight and strays from the topic I think it's fine.

RE: Debates within threads? - Skryptec - 06-12-2016

If it stays on-topic, it is fine.

How about when people debate they take it to private messages, or there is some sort of debate forum or a trash forum so that it doesn't spam off topic posts on threads.
