Introduction. - KaRNaL - 11-21-2016

Hi. My name is John. I am new here so I will introduce myself. I have around 5 years of coding experience, mostly with application-based stuff. I have been wanting to learn more about security, and how to bypass it, for a while now. I found sinisterly via google and decided to register. I would appreciate it if some experienced members could point me in the direction of some good material on hacking and exploits. I would like to emphasize that quick results do not interest me so much as actually learning the technical details behind hacks, that can be useful in finding future 0-days.

It's scary that you've been a developer for 5 years with no knowledge of security. Glad you're wanting to get into it now, better late than never.

Welcome to our community John.

Learning about vulnerabilities, exploits, attack vectors and so forth, does take time and also comes In a lot variances. Stating the obvious and as a starting point, I suggest you select the type you're Interested In and solely focus on that before moving onto something else.
Anyhow, I hope your experience on this board Is a most pleasant one.
