How did you get into coding? - eddo - 11-11-2016

This question may come off as intrusive, but I don’t mean to be rude. However, after mindlessly looking though SL, I couldn’t help but wonder how the SL community got into computer science. Everyone here seems passionate about it, so I can’t help but just wonder how it even happened in the first place.

So, if you don't mind me asking, how did you get into code?

Well dunno it all started when i've graduated from school and had to move to university ,i've decided to go with computer science for 2 reasons :
1. i spend a lot of time on computers , first i had no idea about coding but i was good at playing around with computers
2.well we are in 2016 and coding is necessary these days
that's why i ended up choosing computer science and guess what i love coding now (ps:i'm not that good yet but i'm learning new stuff daily)

The demands of website hacking and the like (when performed manually as I do), does require (at times) quite a bit of manipulation to succeed In exploiting.

That's what really got me Into programming and scripting.

Basically I was like 12 years old, I wanted to make money so I started to learn coding because I saw how much money people make with it.

I'm glad we're in the same boat! Haha. I spent so much time online when I was younger, I decided to learn about the programming behind it.

The market demand for STEM workers is also a nice bonus.

(p.s: I'm honestly not that great either... Haha. But at least I'm trying.)

Sound advice.

It's also about how well you adapt to a given programming language. If you fully understand It's syntax, you're well and truly on the right track towards succeeding.

You're wrong.

Learn the underlying concepts - syntax comes after.
