So, my thread on german to other languages got a nice hit, and we branched off on some tangents about the language itself.. So, I'm going to share with you some other ones you might enjoy..

Fun fact, the word for give/gift in german is actually shenk (like shank)

It's schenke. Schenke means also tavern, it's really about how you use the word in a sentence.

Nouns are always capitalized in German, that's how you can instantly tell the difference if it's in writing.

Did I mention my spelling is terrible... Writing in english, german, russian, and 5 different programming languages makes it really hard to tell which ruleset youre using

It's not a big deal, really. Just figured I'll point that out.

I invested more time in spoken languages than programming ones because I moved to different countries and I had to familiarize myself with their stuff obviously. Adapting to completely new environments can be hard sometimes.

I only learned german because I had an alcoholic roommate who would only speak in german when he was drunk

The emphasis generated In the German pronunciation and body language Is priceless.

Ever since you've contributed these videos, I've grown to love the German accent/pronunciation more so than ever.
