Russia behind the hacks - Jiggly - 10-08-2016 Full article here ![]() There were already suspicions about this story, but the government have now confirmed that they are certain the Russian government was behind the hacks against the DNC. This article also makes an amusing comment about how the US also hacks allies such as Germany and hacks Russia, but the US isn't as bad as Russia as it doesn't release them publicly... Thoughts? RE: Russia behind the hacks - Hazmat - 10-08-2016 In Soviet Russia, the hacks hack you! RE: Russia behind the hacks - mothered - 10-09-2016 Why does It not surprise me that the Russians are behind something that's hacking-related? I'm glad this was revealed- just to show that the "government" Isn't as prim and proper as they're perceived to be. RE: Russia behind the hacks - sleaze - 10-09-2016 first they back out of the nuclear r&d pact, now this, shit's about to get tough RE: Russia behind the hacks - Despised - 10-09-2016 What should I say... Putin is a savage beast. This trust has been violated by the proxy-coup staged in Ukraine which forced Russia to intervene. That shit was about to get though was already clear, but it got even worse with the rebel attack on MH-17. All things considered, I personally think that Putin is a wise leader, and perhaps one of the best of modern times along with Ahmadinejad, Yanis Varoufakis and Nelson Mandela. It is however evident that Putin really got his hands bloody(in a wrong way) by meddling with the clusterfuck that is Syria. As for the OP. Russia is grossly overrepresented when it comes to cyberattacks. One would think that it is just the Western media on a mudslinging crusade, but I can vouch that Russia has very high activity when it comes to blackhat operations. Russia has very lax regulations when it comes to enforcing cyberlaw as long as it does not target anything with Russian interests. I find this a very hypocrite approach as the world is currently suffering due to a shitton of attacks originating from Russia, and ain't nothing be done about it. Makes you wonder what's being talked about by the powers that be. (10-09-2016, 02:19 PM)mothered Wrote: Why does It not surprise me that the Russians are behind something that's hacking-related? Doesn't it make you question what will happen next? RE: Russia behind the hacks - 463274567 - 10-09-2016 Unless they put forth some actual evidence, I remain very skeptical of these claims. RE: Russia behind the hacks - Killpot - 10-09-2016 To be honest it really doesn't matter who release the info, it just matters that it WAS happening, now everyone that's under fire for it is going to try to turn everyone away and say "Hey look! the evil Commies hacked the US!" and now everyone's conflicted, on one hand, the Russians hacked the US, and on the other, the hack revealed our own corruption in the one place it shouldn't be. There's a significant difference between a random hacker or if there were state-sponsored actor(s); it does matter who leaks the information. |
