Wow 9 screens is it really that neccessary?

I'd also buy everything max ofcourse, but if I had to be specific I would really spend alot of money on the GPU.

RE: The Specs of your Dream PC? - The Protagonist - 10-22-2012

Im waiting for Quantum PCs Biggrin
Currently though the best setup would be 16TB file storage and 128GBs RAM and multi boot different OS's. 2 Screens should be more than enough.

Omg is your room going to be one whole big screen?

RE: The Specs of your Dream PC? - shizelkid - 10-23-2012

Well, i was low balling it with 9. If i had a bigger house. Sure i would have way more. But i have 3 pcs and each one has its own monitor. So 2 isnt enough.

Hmm yeah maybe another PC would be useful to handle online chats like Skype, IRCs and Ventrilo and maybe music too.
FOrgot to mention: Get the storage on an SSD as its much faster than HDD

RE: The Specs of your Dream PC? - Ultimatum - 10-23-2012

^ SSD ftw. Awesome speeds.

Oh yeah also if you want to do password cracking a set up with loads of graphics processors would cut down time IMMENSELY : http://arstechnica.com/security/2012/08/passwords-under-assault/
This got me wondering: how many passwords are actually possible. So assuming these are the characters allowed:
Code:
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz1234567890!"£$%^&*()_+-={}[]:@~;'#<>?,./|\
So thats about 68 different symbols (including space).
Now lets say a minimum of 3 characters and a maxiumum of 30 characters in the password.
Now how to work out how to work out how many possible passwords can be made including using symbols more than once.

Oh shit forgot capital letters so its:
Code:
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ1234567890!"£$%^&*()_+-={}[]:@~;'#<>?,./|\
which is 94 characters.
