The United Nations may get control of ICANN. This may a bad thing with censorship and all.

Saw this a few days ago, bad shit. Speculating that we'll see a large increase in tor traffic if this actually happens.

What I'm concerned about is:
-Tor being fucked with outright
-"Sensitive" content being filtered
-DMCA laws reloaded for copyright, but with harder punishment and at the ICANN level

If the population deems tor unsafe, there's at least alternatives like I2P. Copyright law is also becoming more and more of a threat as well, but people will find ways to share regardless.

Regardless, if some of the masses can learn, it's much easier for them to teach the rest.

And of course, people will develop I2P into a more simpler platform, if that ever becomes the case.
