How many users stick around would you say? - CyberOperator - 06-02-2016 about 10-20 new users register every day or so, depending. That being said, how many people would you say stick to the site? That being said, how many people would you say stick to the site? Unfortunately that question is super broad. The answer is that there is a complete mixture. Some stick around forever, like me. Some stick around for a few weeks then come back months later. Some stay for months/years then disappear. I'd say there are definitely a massive number of regulars that you'll get to know the more you're here. Some of the old members have returned which is interesting for them as it may be a new crowd for them to get used to. RE: How many users stick around would you say? - An0Xide - 06-02-2016 It depends most people come here to be leechers and some come here to actually benefit the community. It all depends on the user. RE: How many users stick around would you say? - Inori - 06-02-2016 It's hard to say, there's a lot of lurkers that might've been around since SL's inception. If you narrow it down to active members that stay for a while, probably 1/150(ish) RE: How many users stick around would you say? - GateK33per - 06-02-2016 I can attest, signed up 2 years ago, site looked different back then, only reason why I signed up then was to learn new stuff relating to securing my network and going into the line of pentesting. Never came back again until this year, figured I would stay around but sometimes I have no idea what most of you are talking about in some posts, lol, so I stick with what I know (which is nothing) and talk smack here and there. Hopefully if all goes well, I can also talk C++, CSS, VBB, databases and how big my stick is. RE: How many users stick around would you say? - Oni - 06-02-2016 It's really hard to say. We've had many members register and not actually become active until a year later. Some people just lurk, too. I'd assume more stick around during peaks of activity. As someone who lurked on this forum for ~1 year (it's hell bringing up my post/day ratio, let me tellya) I can confirm this I see many members come and go at different rates throughout my time here. It's can be saddening and refreshing at the same time, but it's probably quite difficult to gauge the 'retention rate %' without some implemented and probably complex algorithm already implemented into the forum backend long ago as to factor in the members who register and then come back months/years later |
