So I decided to take javascript as my first full programming language instead of html and i wonder can games be made with just javascript

Not like full on games. But simple games like tic tac toe and some other simple games etc

A lot of the games you see on the mobile app store have been written in JavaScript.
However, it's not "solely" done in JavaScript as a lot of dependencies are pre-compiled C, C++ especially in Android.
Look into JavaScript Unity2D, I hear great things about it.

i worked with some animation with a f-16 model i downloaded but that was lost when my laptop hdd crashed.

Instead of HTML? You should learn both. JS is not a replacement for HTML or vice-versa.

That's wrong. The only time they meet is in client side web development. :p
