Compressor.io is a good website to compress your images for your website.
The point of compressing is it will make your images smaller (not litterally) but smaller in size. It will improve your sites speed significantly.
If anyone has a better one please point them out here.

If you have photoshop you can save your image for the web, and boom! Resized.
