U.K. gun laws - User_mybb_import14239 - 08-04-2015
I watched a video recently that was shown on the news of two U.K. police officers getting attacked by a man wielding a knife. In the United States a police officer would of pulled his gun and shot the man. But it the U.K. it is much different becuase they do not carry guns. These officers had pepper spray and that is it. I see all these people saying that it is good to minimize guns and I agree. But look at this situation, you can not leave police officers defenseless in this day and age. My question to you is what do you think about this and how would you fix this problem?

Yes teasers might work, that is a good idea. But I believe they should still carry real guns as a last resort.

They should be allowed to carry something.
Such as a pistol or a super tazor.

Exactly, the world is a different place now and very bad people are out there looking to do harm. They need to be able to protect the citizens from mass shootings and terrorist attacks. I do not think some pepper spray will do that.

Stupid is not the right word to use I agree with you kill. But look at it this way, the world is an evolving place, criminals are evolving, terrorist are evolving. These countries that think that a gunman can't just walk into a school and starting killing children. Well they are wrong and that is the reality now. Cops need to have weapons so they can stop things like that from happening right when they see it.

Cops should be able to use guns because you never want them to be.. What's the word.. In a situation where the other people have guns.. But, they should learn to control their trigger finger and be trained thoroughly.
