"Destiny" The new COD Killer? - Prince - 02-23-2013
Is this going to be the game that revolutionises the industry? That brings that one step further than we've seen Treyarch do with BO2. Check out the reveal trailer:

I doubt I don't see what makes this matching CoD.
Call of duty doesn't have this RPG type feel to it that this game does I want right into the action stuff.

I think BO2 was actually a brilliant game, however because of all this hacking and lag and freezing; it's put a lot of people off the game. In my honest opinion it's up there in the top 3 call of duties ever made.
But once I saw that Destiny trailer, and some of the things they were talking about I said 'WOW', and the best thing of all, its on PS4 too!

No it won't, however it will probably be a big hit. The only game that will ever wipe out cod is a game that is based on cod but has only the good aspects of it. People like the idea of war and being able to battle it out against another team with realistic weapons, not alien guns.

Exactly what I was thinking. This game is going to maybe wipe out Halo if it gets really good because that the category it's based in. Halo and CoD are so successful because they're different types of games.
This game is more Halo than CoD.

It's a FPS pretty much, it looks like Halo with more of a storyline. It's pretty much them trying to re-create Halo how they wanted it to be in the first place, and then implementing stuff to compete with COD; from what it looks like anyway.
& I believe it may take over COD, mainly because COD has become repetitive and they haven't even introduced a new base for the game yet. Once Treyarch & Activition see this video, they'll be shitting themselves and I can assure you of that :3-Blink-20px:
EDIT: Also the new BO2 has barely any realistic weapons, they're all futuristic remakes of previous guns like the TAR and the AK.

Treyarch and Activision do not have to worry at all.
This game like you've said it your self goes into the Halo Section of video gaming and like others have said on this thread people who play CoD don't want spaceships and lasers they want realistic weapons and just fast pace into the game and start playing. This seems to have spaceship flying, MMO type character screens and it's not really competing in the same area.
Edit: Black ops 2 guns are futuristic but at least they look realistic and it takes place on Earth in an urban enviroment and not an alien planet.

This completely contradicts against what CoD BO2 is now
All of this Zombie business etc, has been incorporated into the story line and all of this futuristic bullshit has just ruined the COD franchise, what are they going to introduce next? Killing the Twilight characters; even though I wouldn't mind doing that....
Also, if you watched the trailer it does take place on Earth...
