Wow. This kind of stuff is just depressing. Like you said, he didn't get to experience life. I'm 19, I haven't even experienced life yet. :'(

Wow. I don't understand why stadiums allow flares and such in there in the first place. I know its common in those countries but look what it caused.

Flares can be used properly, there are just a small portion of morons who do shit like this and ruin it for the others.
Like it said, they've charged 12 people so far with homicide which is good news.

Considering a few years back, I was with some of my buds and we were out on Halloween eggin' peoples houses as you do. We got chased by some older guys who threw a firework which was less then 20cm from hitting his face. Was fucking scary as hell... Feel sorry for this guy , when this stuff happens it makes me think how lucky I am.

To be honest, smoke bombs and flares do look great when used right. I have been in the same stand as somebody that let one off but never right next to somebody with one, so I can't really say what it's like to be next to one. Probably fucking horrible.
They are a huge health and safety risk in the wrong hands which is shown by the so called 'Ultras' who use them as weapons and start throwing them.
Smoke bombs turn into flares, flares into fireworks, and then it escalates from there. Could never be legalized, would be a silly policing move, but i do admit, i love the glow they make in big European matches.
I'd personally want them legalized in England to be honest, but I can't see it ever happening. Imagine a millwall/westham match or Blackburn/burnley.
