What headset do you use? - Prince - 02-23-2013

Hey guys,

Just wondering what headset you use for console gaming, personally I'm on the PS3 and I use Astro A40's with the Mixamp.

$250 Headset (£190) It's amazing and I absolutely love it, I can hear everything, even though sound whoring has been absolutely ruined in BO2 (I have to use those 2 perks, forgot what they're called)

I have the Turtle Beaches x12. They're comfortable and affordable at $60 USD.

I just use some cheap 60 - 80 dollar turtle beach headset that I purchased from wal-mart.

Nothing big I like using TV sound anyway unless i'm doing tournaments than I go sound whore try-hard.

Was going to get the deckers edition, but ended up getting the Blue BXR Editions instead

I used to have Turtle Beach x12's, but now I have the new PX5's. (Programmable)

They're amazing. I'm not very fond of Turtle Beach, which is why I only had x12's to begin with, but the PX5's have no downfalls.

Other than that, I might eventually get a pair of Astros or Steel Series.

Yea I had always been eyeing the Astros and I always told myself I would only get them if they had released purple ones and they did. A nice dark purple. Biggrin

I first had the x41's which were absolutely amazing, I loved them, but I had to get rid of them because they kept interfering with my wireless network so I couldn't connect to the internet!

Oh, I know what you mean. Here's what you have to do with some wireless headsets:

Before you turn on your Xbox, turn off the wireless receiver & headset. Connect to the internet on your Xbox.

Then, turn on your headset. Make sure it is completely on and ready to connect to the receiver.

Turn on the receiver. The reason for this is when the headset is not on, it is constantly roaming on different channels and frequencies, therefore interfering with your internet & other devices.

That last bit about the frequencies is a guess. It seems to work that way, because it only affects my phone, Xbox, and computer. It doesn't affect my iPod Touch because it uses a different frequency. Hope this helps for anyone else as well!

I tried everything when I had them man, and I used them on my PS3 with one of the adapters. Anyway my astro's are amazing, so I'm glad I got rid of my X41's
