Loads of people have braces, they said I would need them; but my teeth have straightened themselves so it's all good : D Braces aren't something to be ashamed of, they are just there for a small period of your life; which will effect your teeth for the rest of your life! You should be happy!

I'm 17 and I've got braces too. Got the one for my lower jaw just 2 weeks ago and I'm already sick of it. I went to the clinic today and I told them I wanted to get it removed. This American woman was somewhat disappointed (I think it's because of the money rather than the condition of my teeth) - they removed the pendulum and the braces on the lower jaw. I received a letter which my parents have to sign so I can get it removed. Everyone tells me not to, but screw what everybody else thinks of it. I'm getting it removed anyway.

My teeth hurt and I can't eat properly. It also hurts the inside of my cheek a bit. My upper braces are just fine but the lower ones are just fucked up. I know it will go away eventually, but still. Btw, it's funny you're asking me that. She asked me the same question and I told her because it hurts. She then said "Where does it hurt?" and I replied with "In my mouth." Everyone laughed, and so did she, but she said it wasn't funny. I thought it was, haha.
