RIP RBB - ɘxɘ - 02-07-2016
Well. We had some good times. I honestly don't think they should've sold it, but here we are. I would like to say goodbye one last time to everyone. I would also like my account from RBB merged with this one, it'll be named hype_mybb_import_213123 or something like that.
I had some good times on RBB, and I legit about cried looking at the goodbye page. :noh: You can say what you want, but I loved RBB and I don't think any forum will ever be any better. And at least RBB didn't fake online stats.
Well. Time for shoutouts.
@12 - Oh Nath. Why? You should've kept trying. I am sure members would've donated tons to keep RBB alive. I know quite a few users are going to stop coming on after the merge as they just don't like SF. Even I am not that fond of it.
@38 - Answer me on Skype when you can.
@183 - You're one of the most talented coders that I have ever seen. You're going to go places. Good luck with Ven0m.
@6 - You're a very talented developer, I would've loved to have someone like you work with my forum. But I can't pay anyone, and everyone is in it for the money. This just proves it.
@12 - You're a pretty chill individual. Keep at it, like you should've with LoungeBB.

@192 - If you are who I think you are (the guy that posted the "did you even try" thread on RBB) Then thank you, because it proves I'm not alone in thinking they didn't.

It wasn't about money to keep it up. It's I lost interest, Geek lost interest. We did a poll and the majority of the votes were to sell. We didn't sell for the money over all, it was because I thought that if RF could merge into a new, more successful forum then everybody would be happy. I'd rather do that than let the forum die. You can always message me Skype and I'll be happy to talk.

Paradigm does not get paid anything. We don't pay any staff members to have a position. We pay him from time to time when we think he did a good and hard job and he deserves it.

If you're saying I've never run a forum, I am running one right now and used to basically run TechRazer which was already bigger than this forum without fake stats.

In response to your message about proving all developers are in it for the money. I work a 38 hour week if not more for most weeks, I then work mostly for free for Sirius forum. If there was enough time in the day I would love to help everyone but it's not possible unfortunately.

What I meant is that he is not paid for his position. He is paid because we feel like he deserves some money in return for the work he does. I will never hire someone who requires money for everything, only users who volunteer and shouldn't expect anything in return.
