Ideas for my Enviromental Android Application - Cyber Warrior - 04-01-2016 ![]() Hello dear Sinister members, Lately I was thinking alot about enviroment, and how much we are polluting everything around us on daily basis. Awarness among people about this issue is on low level, and yet that's the main reason why we live and breathe here on Earth! Keeping that in mind, and the fact that I'm planing to start learning programming for android, I would like to hear your ideas for my android application that I will work on. App must be "enviromental", to help people in some kind of indirect way to reduce pollution, greenhouse effect...or just raise, increse awarness among people with some interesting and maybe catchy application? I know that there are creative people here, who could give me nice ideas, come on! ![]() I would like to hear your opinions. Thank you.
RE: Ideas for my Enviromental Android Application - Jiggly - 04-02-2016 To clarify, are you looking to make a save the environment app? As in, something that could record someone's daily carbon footprint or something? RE: Ideas for my Enviromental Android Application - mothered - 04-02-2016 Being an environmentally friendly app, would mean It'll need to entail all facets of life- work, home, social meetings, outdoors etc. Some things to Include would be best work practices (example, correct disposal of waste products, eco-friendly machinery, reduction of harmful emissions), and similar practices at home (eco-friendly appliances, using biodegradable products etc). There's simply too much to list off the top of my head. Well I guess there are already built in sensors on many mobile phones, which can be useful for scientist to follow climate changes, etc in the different areas, in order to react on time, if something goes wrong. I was thinking an application, which will be maybe simple but not too complicated, which will in an interesting way show people how environmental protection is really important, or at least an application that will raise the level of awareness among people about this global problem. The key is in the simplicity. Forgive me, I meant more like, what would it literally do? Provide info or news updates on environmental stuff? Record daily use/activity? Or a game that's environmentally themed? etc. Or is that undecided? It's just that I was imagining something...., application which will be maybe running in the background but with some funny functions, that will make people download, use, and educate them using that interesting and catchy app functions. I see! Perhaps unlocking levels could win you achievements like an electric car or some green energy based appliances xD And maps of the world could be unlocked and turned into "Green Zones". Btw, I have no idea what kind of effort designing a game would be xD RE: Ideas for my Enviromental Android Application - Cyber Warrior - 04-02-2016 (04-02-2016, 09:41 AM)Jiggly Wrote: I see! I see, I get the Idea now. An app that's Interesting enough to download and use from an amusing standpoint, yet educational In protecting the environment In doing so. I think this combination will work well. I suppose If you had a foundation (of the app) formulated, we could work up from there. |
