Civilization V - Oni - 01-15-2016 Does anyone here still play Civilization V? I've played a bit with @Jiggly and @WuhTehFuh. Was curious if anyone else still played. Also, is Beyond Earth any good? I've heard it was pretty much a modification/reskin of Civilization V. Didn't buy it during the Steam sale. RE: Civilization V - Nil - 01-15-2016 I have Civ 5 but haven't played in months. Not sure how online goes, like if you have to wait for the other person to move and what happens when you want a break? After watching Beyond Earth, it looks like a more fantasy/space-like version than Civ 5 but pretty much the same with different characters and choices. Have you tried mods on Civ 5. I was trying to play a mod on civ 5 that spawned dragons and ogres on the map. RE: Civilization V - Oni - 01-15-2016 (01-15-2016, 05:52 PM)God Wrote: I have Civ 5 but haven't played in months. It's such a long game but the save and reload game feature is great and kinda tackles that problem. The timer helps also with the waiting. I only wish there was a pause button! Beyond Earth sounds kinda cool, I may look it up. DRAGONS!!! That's awesome. RE: Civilization V - Nil - 01-15-2016 (01-15-2016, 10:29 PM)Jiggly Wrote: I've only just started playing Civ 5. I only wish there was a pause button! Yeah it's a long game but since you can save and reload I don't rush anything. I have several saves where I have different mods running. You should definitely check out the mods on steam. A lot of them add a whole other aspect to the game and improve what's already there which you would expect from an expansion pack so they can be pretty well done if you're bored of going through the same routine. RE: Civilization V - Oni - 02-16-2016 Was playing a game with @Jiggly this morning. We should plan a game for Sinisterly. RE: Civilization V - Almighty - 02-18-2016 I play it from time to time but that's only when I visit my friend at his house because I myself don't own it. Although if I get some money anytime soon I wouldn't mind playing a game with you guys. RE: Civilization V - zorrophreak - 02-18-2016 Haven't played but my friend said I should start. Same with Mount and Blade: Warband. I probably will RE: Civilization V - Jiggly - 02-18-2016 (01-15-2016, 11:07 PM)God Wrote: Yeah it's a long game but since you can save and reload I don't rush anything. Lol it's like you made a sales pitch. I'm sold! We should definitely do an SL game!! RE: Civilization V - Pyro-san - 02-18-2016 I have played Civ 5 for a while and i think and okay at it. It's one of the Civ games i really like, so is Civ 4 was really good. I didn't really like Beyond Earth when i played but that was when it came out and haven't touched it since then so I don't have any idea how it is. |
