KismetProject - A Linux Project - zorrophreak - 12-29-2015

So, me and a friend have been considering the idea of creating our own operating system. We aren't very experienced yet, so we aren't going to be creating our own operating system. However, we have decided to create a Linux distro.

Being a big Debian fan, we will likely be using Debian as a base both because of its stability, and compatibility.

Anyways, I thought I would announce the project here on SL and we are looking for members of the KismetProject team. If anyone has experience in graphics, linux setup, or think they have something to contribute to the project let me know below. I will answer any questions anyone has.

You could use Debian and make something simple and basic, but everybody can do that, Debian is an extremely simple project to fork. Challenge yourselves and build it out of something more complex, or REALLY challenge yourself and create a hybrid package manager that can use the RedHat, AUR, and Debian repositories, id even pay for that.

True. We COULD make it from scratch and ehh...might try it. I just have hard time working on this alone. Why I was looking for team members xD.

Yea I'd pay for that too. Now you've got me interested in trying it, although far fetched

If you don't push yourself, you won't ever learn. If you fail, so what, try again another day. But if you succeed....
