So, how many people here actually do hacking? - m0dem - 10-02-2015 I'm starting to realize that SL has a lot of fun stuff, just hanging out and having fun. I like it, its great. But how much hacking do people actually do? And when I mean hacking I don't just mean RATing and botnets, but also programming and the such. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining or anything, its really cool and great! Also, whats with the anime craze? I've never heard of it before, so I don't really understand what its all about, could someone explain?

There are a number of Members here who "hack" on an individually discrete basis. Such as Linux Dot WiFatch for instance. RE: So, how many people here actually do hacking? - Earth - 10-03-2015 I am going to guess only a handful can actually hack. This is not really a hacking forum in my opinion its more of a general/all-in-one forum. I am not into hacking so I could care less about it. I would agree with this assessment... Hence, socialization. (10-03-2015, 02:33 AM)m0dem Wrote: Someone here is the author of Linux Dot WiFatch? None here stated they were the author of Linux Dot WiFatch. RE: So, how many people here actually do hacking? - Nyx - 10-03-2015 Programming and the such is very popular, most of the members know at least 1 language semi-fluently, though actual hacking however tones the list down quite a bit. I'd say only a handful of people could actually look at a website and hack it (or anything really pertaining to any field of hacking). Mainly the population of 'hackers' here consist of Whitehats/Grayhats, though there are a few strictly blackhats that can be found lurking around. Now with anime, it is pretty much Japanese cartoons that to some people, are just enjoyable to watch. Some can be watched in English, however most people watch them with Subtitles. The two types of people that watch anime are: A) Weeaboos, they believe that Japan is superior to every country in practically every way, their life revolves around Japanese culture and they want to some day live in Japan and learn Japanese B) Regular people, regular people are regular people who just enjoy kicking back and watching some anime every once and a while. I wouldn't say there is a craze really, it's just some people would rather watch a spooky anime over a horror movie or some sick fight scenes in Dragonball over watching a Michael Bay movie. If you wanted to make an attempt to get into it, I generally love helping people get started, feel free to PM me if you would like to check it out. Plus Four for the above comment. RE: So, how many people here actually do hacking? - m0dem - 10-03-2015 (10-03-2015, 03:10 AM)Linuxephus Wrote: The Great One falls under the category of Option B. Trust me when I tell you The Great One and The Great Oni are two completely differing subjects. For instance, I've vast experience in moderating a Community, yet zero experience (the key to applying one's knowledge) in owning and keeping a message board operational, figuratively speaking.
