iFixit Yanked From Apple's Store - Oni - 10-01-2015 After tearing down the Apple TV and Siri Remote Apple had sent them, their developer account was banned. Their app was, as a result, removed from Apple's app store. Here's the article: http://ifixit.org/blog/7401/ifixit-app-pulled/ In this case, Apple has made it very clear their products aren't intended for technical users. Voiding a warranty is one thing, banning a developer for tearing down a unit is another. RE: iFixit Yanked From Apple's Store - roger_smith - 10-02-2015 wow that's kinda fucked. Being that it is switching to Lenovo does not mean it is in for the worst also I don't think they even use Foxconn and Lenovo is wanting to shift production to America. As for Nokia you can still buy made in Finland just about anywhere, and it does not say where in Asia they will be shifting production it just says in Asia (unless I missed it) so that does not necessarily mean China. I haven't owned one either but the fact is almost every IOS update was reported buggy until this newest release which seems the least buggy but still 4 confirmed issues. My sister had to send her Iphone 5 in 3 times for repair, Her husband had to warranty out his Iphone 6 after a month of owing it because it randomly stopped working. Then the Isight camera bullshit that came around. I have been using Android for a long time I have gone through 2.2, 2.3 (never had 3.0) up to 4.1 and currently running 4.4.4 Kit Kat and never really had any problems. Now I will admit there was a couple of times where my current phone running 4.4.4 randomly rebooted itself but it never showed any signs of damage or problems as a after result. Android never failed me, but instead I failed it because I was a dumb ass and broke my phone tripping on the charger cord and lol that didn't end well for the phone. While I don't like that these companies outsource, I wouldn't let it stop me from buying their phones. It's worth noting that Motorola's phones cost less now, as a result.
