PS3 finally dying? - Earth - 09-29-2015 So I have had my PS3 slim 320 since it released and its been through a lot of use and some abuse. Since earlier today it started acting up it plays fine at first but then after about 1 hour in it freezes up and I have to press the power button to shut it down, then it does a tripple beep. everything goes unresponsive when it happens even the PS button does not do anything. Each reboot it says it did not shut off correctly and blah blah blah. Maybe it's just had it and is ready to give up?. RE: PS3 finally dying? - Losi - 09-29-2015 Clean it thoroughly. Open that sucker and clean her out. Completely. And re-apply thermal paste to the heatsinks. That should do her just fine. It's non-conductive too boot, so there's no worries about getting a bit on sensitive components. RE: PS3 finally dying? - Earth - 09-29-2015 (09-29-2015, 05:35 AM)Losi Wrote: Go with Arctic Silver 5. I am thinking about customizing my PS3 by making a custom case for it with plexiglass and adding additional cooling fans with fire orange and fire red LED's all over in it. and additional USB ports. So I might do this soon. Got some more important things to buy first though. LMFAO, honestly the problem seems to have gone away I still don't trust it just yet but it made it more then 1 hour today and lasted until I shut it off. Time will tell. |
