Last night Hiroyuki (new owner of 4chan) posted a thread on /qa/ answering different questions people asked him. Its a really interesting read, and it seems that rather than Jim saving 2chan (and now 8chan) he stole it from Hiroyuki, later firing him, claiming he sold user data, which according to Hiroyuki is not true and that the server owned by NT Tech to handle the 2chan pass shit was compromised. So he's suing "NT Technology" in Japan starting November. Also Moot and Hiroyuki apparently got drunk at a bar in Japan, and Moot said Hiroyuki could have the site and that he was done with it. Thanks moot.

One of the mods were kind enough to draw an illustration of what went down between Moot and Hiro. Knowing Moots late night drunkposting I wouldn't be surprised.

Hiro also seems to be pretty self-ironic about the whole situation considering he is reposting images that seem to be sort of mocking him and his knowledge of "meme culture" and the "meme factory".
