Intruder - Tactical FPS - XFL - 09-10-2015

I've played many, many, manyyyy FPS. I only enjoy playing one for hours on end. Intruder offers an experience many FPS lacks and thats the community. Its not large, its not that small either but its kind of like this forum. Its a tight knit community. We all know each other. We all know that one guy. We all know who the badass etc. etc.

Intruder isn't good because of its graphics. Before someone replies to this and says how shitty the graphics look, let me explain. The graphics could be better. This is the art style however. This is what we all agree on that best fits this game. The graphics don't make it impossible to run on even the lowest of machines. You shouldn't be hindered to play fantastic games because the graphics are too good.

Intruder has a community Map Maker. This means anyone can make maps. Most of them turn out pretty bad but some turn out alright. Some.

Its forum is pretty active, even if the players aren't. The game isn't on steam and we've all decided to keep the game off steam unless we got big enough that it wouldn't effect our community if we switched over. We stay off steam because of its community and the cancerous people that follow.

We've got an IRC. Its pretty.. dead most of the time but everyone stalls there. If you go in there and start asking question about the game, one person will always be there to answer you.

The mechanics I've heard people complain about but once you get used to it, they make more sense. Your character falls generally like a human would fall with proper joints and whatnot. You can also ragdoll if you slip on a beam or a banana. Yes, a banana is a weapon you can use.

That video is of my friends and I (Who are all pretty decent or too good at the game so we often find ourselves being stupid intentionally because thats our way of having fun.)

Every now and then we have "clan battles". What a awful subject matter. Whenever I think of clan battles, I think of Doritos, pizza, and acne-riden 13 year olds who have no job and sit on their Xbox 360 playing MW2 all day. But yeah, sometimes, we have clan battles. Pretty fun to watch.

tl;dr $10 game that is quite fun, great mechanics, serious gameplay, fantastic community.

Looks decent. Seeing a lot of indie shooters as of late, and most of them are pretty good for a while. Not sure its worth $20 though.

Its actually only $10 to get the game. The rest is donations. I don't feel as if I did a super good job giving it a plug on the thread but I wasn't trying to make a full blown advert for it as well. I'll be glad to play some rounds if anyone was to buy an account. If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask me.
