Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May making show for Amazon - Skullmeat - 08-29-2015 Quote: Source This is going to hurt the BBC, bad. This whole thing with Jeremy Clarkson seems to have a very poor choice on the BBCs part. Either way, I'm excited to see this. Clarkson deserved to be fired after what was an unecessary outburst. Just because I say that doesn't mean I don't love the show, either. Even Clarkson knew he was in the wrong. I am very excited for the return, though. Its well known Jeremy has a rock star temperament. I really don't care what he does behind the scenes, hes an entertainer. When the story first broke, alot of those involved acted like this was a case of Jeremy having a very bad day. My honest thoughts on the whole thing is, that Jeremy is known for his non politically correct antics, and many times its gotten the BBC into trouble. To me, it sounded like the BBC was looking for an excuse to fire him, and he, stupidly, gave them one. My theory is that Amazon wanted to boost their TV service so they paid BBC to let them have Clarkson and the rest of the team, that way a lot of people will follow them to Amazon TV. |
