Cheated On, Would You Forgive Your Partner? - mothered - 08-26-2015 Greetings to all, Let's say your partner cheated on you, the question Is, would you forgive her/him and why? I've asked this very same question IRL, all with mixed results. In my views, once a cheater, always a cheater. I don't care for excuses like "I was drunk", "you made me do It"- at the end of the day, we're all accountable and responsible for our actions. Discuss. How can cheating be real if her third dimension isn't real? RE: Cheated On, Would You Forgive Your Partner? - null - 08-26-2015 No. I already have trust issues to begin with and to have someone I trust most break that trust would kill me. RE: Cheated On, Would You Forgive Your Partner? - Oni - 08-26-2015 I know a couple of people in open relationships and it works well for them, mainly because they have communicated their plans to each other. Cheating is entirely different, though. If you're looking for a typical monogamous relationship (I am and most people are), I think cheating is pretty much the worst thing you can do. If you want to see someone other than your current partner, the least you can do is end the relationship. Forgiving wouldn't be an option. Spoiler:Am I the only person who'd get revenge? RE: Cheated On, Would You Forgive Your Partner? - Eclipse - 08-26-2015 Cheaters should be burned alive. She even had the fucking guts to say it was my fault. Fuck forgiveness. RE: Cheated On, Would You Forgive Your Partner? - Cressi - 08-26-2015 Yeah...no. I've heard friends say it's fine once or twice; but my rule of thumb is to have him out the door before it happens again; which is never impossible ^^ RE: Cheated On, Would You Forgive Your Partner? - lux - 08-26-2015 Cheaters deserve to be publicly humiliated for what they've done. They're the worst. Had it happen to me, and kind of have forgiven her, though. (08-26-2015, 11:03 AM)Cressi Wrote: Yeah...no. RE: Cheated On, Would You Forgive Your Partner? - Exkr - 08-26-2015 A lot of people cheat or get cheated on, while I don't agree with it, a lot of people just don't care and prefer to be in an open relationship. Absolutely nailed It with this statement. Ironically, a friend of mine said the very same many years ago when his marital partner cheated on him. By no means, did he remain with her after she was exposed. RE: Cheated On, Would You Forgive Your Partner? - Shebang - 08-26-2015 Hell no. That happened after a month with my first girlfriend, was done right then and there. |
