Anime Art - Jiggly - 04-06-2015 So I was wondering what styles you guys like when it comes to Anime. This can also be extended to Manga. Which ones are you favourites? I've fallen in love with the animation in some shows as I'm sucker for pretty colours and shit. Below are a few of my favourite ones. ![]() ![]() ![]() These also happen to be some of my favourite shows outright. I don't think the style is what makes an anime, but I'd love to hear what styles are the most interesting to some of you. Below is a pretty good example of what I am talking about in terms of styles.
RE: Anime Art - Anime - 04-07-2015 I prefer realistic over over-dramatized art. Although it depends story to story. I think most anime are good regardless of art, art is just an extra medium of the anime, compared to the plot and emotions received from anime. RE: Anime Art - ねこまっしぐら - 04-07-2015 I just like anime and manga with good looking girls. Amen @Nigga , but in all seriousness, I bet making these characters takes a ton of time and talent. RE: Anime Art - Master - 04-07-2015 Anime has changed! To be honest, the look of it is always changing. I found this image that shows how anime has evolved over the past few decades. ![]() This scene from fate stay night unlimited blade works is incredible.

I just watched Heroic Legend of Arslan that came out two days ago by Hiromu Arakawa (the FMA creator), which is a loose remake of the 90s version. And its a perfect example of the point you are making, I totally see the change. I personally enjoy the darkness of the 90s anime, but the art of the current anime is absolutely amazing (the main characters looks like edward elric and kimblee) (04-07-2015, 07:40 PM)Brynn Wrote: Amen @Nigga , but in all seriousness, I bet making these characters takes a ton of time and talent. And balls. RE: Anime Art - Jiggly - 04-08-2015 I agree with all the comments so far (well, I wouldn't say I disagree with the comment about good looking girls, since I don't care either way. I'm not lesbian.) xD @Master That scene was great... I also rather like your signature! I'm a big fan of the art side. Although, it is just one component to make a whole. Being an Art student, makes me so much more interested in that side I guess. RE: Anime Art - Kiotaa - 04-13-2015 (04-07-2015, 07:53 PM)Master Wrote: Anime has changed! Even though I prefer the newer type of art style, I really do miss the old type. |
