Cooler Master celebrates Nutella by using it as thermal paste - Master - 02-11-2015

Extreme Tech Wrote:February 5 was World Nutella Day (my lack of knowledge of these things is probably why I don’t get invited to the really good parties). To celebrate this event, Cooler Master decided to illustrate the value of the spreadable hazelnut delight by using it as thermal paste.

The video below doesn’t give much context for Nutella’s relative performance but implies that the material is more than capable of keeping a chip nice and cool. So, should you throw out the Arctic Silver in favor of hazelnut?''

You can also use things like mustard. I wouldn't try it though, that would be a waste of mustard.

I used to also dislike mustard. It wasn't until I went to prison and that was the only sandwich condiment. So, I tried it and now I don't mind it.

Didn't thought that Nutella would work as thermal paste lol.
Thought it will melt and leak out causing the CPU to overheat.

Anyway nice try Biggrin

This reminds me of the time I built my first PC and I didn't know about the pea size rule, so I just poured an entire tube of thermal paste on my CPU and it leaked onto my motherboard and I freaked out. Ending up turning out ok but I look back and find it funny.

Well I dare my friend in class to turn the red switch on dell power supply, then teacher plug the computer in and it went pop and started sparking. My teacher still does not know why it happened.

I bet that would release a fine smell.
