Step 1. HackCommunity Search Button.

Step 2. I searched for you.
I am against mentoring. You must try to find the information by your own. Search. Discover the information. We can only tell you, our opinions. I think nobody here, supports mentoring.

2 more personal advices from me to you :
1. Self education.
2. Nobody will teach you better than your brain.

You mean you don't know from where you should start ?

By searching you will find and decide by your own which programming languages fit you. Remember, every language has its pros and cons. It depends on what you are wanting to do with them.

Thank you,
Legolas.

Self education, as @Legolas said. It's about having the desire to learn and searching for answers. You don't just read a book and become an expert.

It depends where you want to start - personally I started off by learning web based languages. Depending on your circumstances you can either self teach, find a mentor(this site doesn't provide this) or you learn it at college or uni on a degree in a programming subject(computer science, software engineering, etc).

To self teach, you can either do it online or by reading. Some sites even provide interactive code learning such as code academy whilst others are text based kinda like reading a book.

For what language to learn, pretty much any language you feel you may enjoy. I personally started off with JavaScript and PHP for web development because I'm interested in websites and e-commerce and now I'm going into C to do general purpose programming. I'm personally not saying you should do these, but researching what language to do with your interest in such as if you want to program apple apps, then you'll probably want to learn objective C or C.
