The recent leaked Windows 9 screenshot reveals a Modified Windows 7 Start Menu.

Windows XP was a good OS, then came Vista, a flop show to some extent. Windows 7 followed Vista, another good OS, then came Windows 8, which did not really impress most of us, as Windows 7 did. So, will Windows 9 be a good one?

Time to shift to Linux, Microsoft thinks changing the GUI every time with pretty interfaces and doin Windows n + 1 is going to boom their business..

Win 3 = good
Win 95 = bad
Win 98 = good
Win Me = bad
Win Xp = good
Win Vista = bad
Win 7 = good

Yeah, it's time to shift to Linux. I heard that many countries have stopped or decided to stop the using of Windows.
Also, Microsoft announced 18,000 layoffs in the next year.
Even Windows 98 are better than Windows 8 and Windows 9 . :troll:

I think with all of their next-gen OSes (Win vista, Win 8, etc) they experiment and ignore their users. Then they learn from their mistakes on the next version, which honestly is usually just UI tweaks and patching memory leaks. So I wouldn't be surprised if win8 and win9 look very close but people will actually be able to stand win9.
At the same time I think all these companies need to follow the Linux business model and make their OS free.. Apple seems to be doing a decent job with that.

Apple gives you free OS upgrades, but only after you've bought their Mac or Macbook which is like three times more expensive than a normal PC. Honestly, Apple is a horrible example for something like this, also, unlike Linux, OSX is not open source.

I think the reason why the better Windows is always the alternate one is because Windows experiments with the first one (Vista) and then fixes everything users complain about in the following OS. Then they can make money due to excitement in the first one (Vista) and make money from people rushing to buy the 'fixed' version (7).
