I am about buying a solid state drive any help? - L0aD1nG - 07-12-2014

Hello everybody I will soon buy a solid-state-drive and want some suggestions!

I will put it in my Laptop.

I searched some and i found that_SSD on 240g which can be bought from a shop here in my home town so i don't have to bother about delivery etc etc.It costs 147 euro.

Any better suggestions??

Thanks in advance. :epic:

It has great performance as I see. You can also try searching for the Samsung 250Gb Sata III 840 EVO, it has 10gb more capacity (why not Tongue) and I think it's 10€ cheaper (at least in Greece). Both have the same performance.

But you found it in your local shop, so yeah, go for it!

Both SSD's are great (HyperX and Samsung).

One benefit of Samsung is imo the software that gets delivered with it (Secure erase, OS performance optimisation) etc.

I searched for the Samsung 250Gb Sata III 840 EVO...and i found it much interesting!

But will software work with linux??
Cause i use only linux on my laptop.

Is that encryption of Samsung 250Gb Sata III 840 EVO that they say any good?
