Depressed - RaccoonCity_mybb_import13707 - 06-29-2014

Lately I've been feeling really down, depressed and unmotivated for no apperent reason.
Today I was super sad and felt like I was about to start crying.
It's super late, and I can't sleep for one bit.

I didn't have any clue why I was being this way, so I googled up "Depression for no reason".
I came across this Depression test, and I answered some questions.
My ending results where that I may have Cyclothymia.

I read on a bit what it was and everything was very accurate on my behavior and such.
These are some symptoms of Cyclothymia:

Reduced ability to concentrate, easily distracted
Sleep difficulties, excessive energy
Heightened irritability
Reduced inhibitions, may make foolish decisions
Hypomania lasts between several days and several weeks
Depressive Phase
Feelings of inadequacy, low self-confidence
Difficulty falling asleep, unrestful sleep
Fatigue, lack of energy
Negative thinking, feelings of guilt and sadness
Loss of interest in formerly enjoyable activities
Depression lasting between several days and several weeks
The cycling between phases must be present for at least two years for a diagnosis (one year for teenagers). Work and family life are often negatively affected by the shifting moods.

I haven't been so active on HC for a while now, but when I get my stuff together I'll be a bit more active.

Firstly I wouldn't trust Dr interwebz for diagnosing anything, it will most often be wrong, but if you feel like you may be suffering some form of depression go and see a Doctor. Other then that :bluedog:'s advice is good.

I suffer from negative thinking, feelings of guilt and sadness, Low self confidence. I've been like this for over a year now. This was caused from something I said/Did which effected the way I further more act and speak to others.

It might be because you're currently at home probably because of the summer vacation. People have more time to think about stuff and often get depressed when thinking about theyre lives. You're still young but depression is something very serious. As @chmod said if you feel like you're suffering make sure to go see a doctor or a specialist.

Thanks for replying.
Lately I have to say my stuff have been pretty screwed up.

3 days ago I woke up 4 in the afternoon.
I've skipped lunch some days, some days I don't eat breakfast.

I'll go with Bluedogs stuff for a while (minus the exercise, lol) and if it gets worse or the problem remains, I'll talk to a doctor.

Fun fact: I'm actually thinking about creating a website for anonymous confessions and stuff you want to just say.

Past couple of months I tend not to eat breakfast! Or dinner and just wait till tea is ready! Wake up like 12-2 in the afternoon lol and chill in bedroom all day, won't go out!

I'm like this every day. I used to be really into music, I lost that. The only thing I enjoy anymore is coding and pentesting. I've been told before that it's just a part of growing up, that could be it, but really the only thing you can do without seeing a doctor is push through it and find something that you do enjoy. I don't even like antidepressants, so I'm completely fucked there, although you should give them a chance if you see a doctor and they give them to you, they might work for you.

Good luck with your mental "health", if you're anything like me you'll need it. At least you don't have daily migraines that completely stop you from functioning. Tongue

Dang.
I've read a bit about antidepressants, but people say that it was the last thing to do and that they didn't really support them.
I don't know, I guess I'll have to do that if it can't be solved natrually.
Thank you for replying, by the way.

RE: Depressed - Insider - 06-30-2014

I've been having the same feelings as well, probably for a year now. Also been having that kind of lifestyle, sleeping for very long or sleeping almost not at all. if it makes you feel any better, you're not alone to get random periods of depressions and hypes! I often try to distract myself from those feelings by watching movies, anime or whatever there is out there, although it doesn't always work. Sometimes crying is the best thing to do, actually feels a lot better and more relieved when you done that (In my opinion). Isn't that something people say too? "Sunshine always come after rain". Anyway, hang in there! Get some fresh air, take a walk. Something that really gets my feelings up is night walks, I love to simply take walks or runs in the middle of the night!
