Nether - Post Apocalyptic Surival Game - Aut•ono•mous - 06-24-2014

Hello HackCommunity! Smile

I'm opening up this thread for any discussions on the game, Nether.

THE STORY

A fast paced first-person urban survival gaming experience unlike any other.

Nether forces players to make quick life-saving decisions in an unforgiving environment. In this post-apocalyptic urban world, death is waiting around every corner, at the top of high-rise buildings, and in the grasp of powerful teleporting creatures known as Nethers.

To navigate this high-tension environment, players must use skill and craft in order to obtain food, weapons, supplies, and other resources necessary to survive in a desolate and dangerous city.

Choose whether or not to team up with others or go at it solo against the Nethers, other players, and unpredictable, treacherous world objectives. In the end, players must decide if they will Prey or Pray.

I've yet to experience any gameplay. I'm stuck on this error:
Code:
Status: Failed. Steam client must be running if you bought Nether from Steam and have not linked your Mber account.

I guess this is due to purchasing on Steam & there not really being any communication between Steam & the developers to say that the game was purchased.

There was a support thread I followed which was describing a manual way to sync your Steam account, well, problem is when I put in my email & the verification email sends ..it never goes through. I've tried multiple browsers, ran as administrator, cleared all my cache, & even tried doing it from my tablet with absolutely no success.

Its been a good 2 hours since my last attempt, & my Inbox is still empty, so that in itself turns me off of the game, but I can understand bad support since I can usually fix my own issues, unless, they're server-sided & I can't do a damn thing.

A few of my friends have played it & are really happy about the concept & gameplay, but who knows what's to really come of it. I'm hoping the developers listen to their players, because the support forum is flooded with good ideas for improvements, so all we can do now is wait.

I'll post my gameplay video & review once my account gets activated. Smile
