I know not a lot of people get scammed, but you can't really trust anyone on the Internet

Typically people just don't use a Middle-man, even when there is one.
I've seen this so many times. Too many times which leads me to believe a Middle-man is essentially useless.

With a small marketplace and with only one middleman it might be, but if you were to have a big marketplace it would probably do more good than bad
