[Penetration] Rapid7 Metasploit - ILLROOTS - 05-02-2014 Metasploit is a penetration testing framework by Rapid7 one can use to attack a server and see if security works. Well, you know what I mean. The Community edition is free after a registration. You might get a call by one of their people asking you what you think about their product and how you use it. What can Metasploit do? use exploit codes test if target is exploitable by chosen script use different payloads or in short and understandable words: get into a server and take it over - without getting cought by automated security measurements. Rapid7 gives you a huge library of exploits and payloads. They are kept up2date by using SVN. You can also write your own scripts and use them or insert any script from the net.
